Psychological Astrology: The Great Heresy

A four-part course with Karen Hawkwood

The marriage of psychology and astrology is a multiple heresy; therein lies its power. This intro course will lay out why – the brief history of each strand, the important distinctions (what do we mean by ‘psychology’?) within them, and why the intersection is such contentious and interesting territory!

We’ll focus on the broad view, but I’m a pragmatist to the end – this combination is worth examining because it’s extraordinarily useful as well as interesting, and I’ll be showing you why even as we wrestle with these larger questions. There will be plenty of time for discussion, and I’ll be working some examples from students so you can see it in action.

Live Sessions: Two hours every Wednesday starting Jun 17 at 1:30pm PDT, running for 4 weeks.

Recordings viewable indefinitely in the course portal in The Catapult Zone.

About the Instructor

Karen Hawkwood, aka KJ Sassypants, has been studying human nature through astrological and mythic lenses for over 25 years. A 2004 graduate of Kepler College, she applies her love of mythic and archetypal astrology to helping people untangle themselves into becoming ALL of their gorgeous paradoxes. She is strangely amusing, and amusingly strange, and navigates the underworld like a native, with a scalpel in one hand and a mug of tea in the other.
